Why and - why NOT to bookThere are times when a phone call is a very good first step in the journey towards better work life balance or a more motivating career plan.
However it is important to emphasise that career decisions or the suitability or generation of options cannot be assessed in a one off phone call ... simply because we don't know enough about you to be sure that our guidance is truly relevant. So a preliminary phone call can not be career guidance. Without knowing about your career and social situation, your motivations and finances, your personality and ambitions, your health and your concerns, your fears and your dreams - and more... it is impossible to advise properly on choices, planning or to begin generating new challenges. This is why the Career Review Programme has a 30+ page workbook where you can document this information and learn more about yourself and what you want. When we get it back - we can learn lots about you. However...not everyone is ready to launch straight into a Review and at times some preliminary advice ( which is not career guidance) on how to get things into the best position to get the most from career guidance is or to clarify some short term issues is exactly the right step. |
