Users report back with comments like I never realised quite how much there was I could do for my career entirely by myself. Nobody tells you these things are important. There is a lot more planning needed and it looks like this takes more hours than I expected but it is great to know it is relatively simple to do I feel my attitude to my career has totally changed - it feels less like a "career in waiting" and more like a "career speedboat" that I myself need to put diesel into if I want it to start. I am sad I hadn't read this ten years ago! It raised a number of issues that, whilst difficult to deal with, are I believe very important to my life as well as career. Ask career mentorThis is a way of asking about a career concern and to receive some brief personalised advice and comments . We also advise on which of our facilities might be most appropriate for you. Please note this is not a service for asking specific careers information like Royal College examination requirements or the telephone number of the Faculty of Occupational Health.Links to these will soon be provided in our A-Z section of the library but a google search and going directly to the "horses mouth" is likely to get you the best answer anyway (as career "information" changes rapidly - and what we help with is more career planning, career decision making, career choice or career diversification). Sample workbookThe "Career Workbook" lies at the core of any of our personalised career guidance facilities. Yet many users state that merely the act of filling it in assists the clarity of career thinking. The workbook in hard copy, pdf copy or electronic format - is available for purchase.
