Deanery Links

In 2006 all deaneries were provided with funding (£73,200 per deanery) to provide career guidance as part of MMC (which is for F1/F2 years). This represesnts quite a breakthrough for career guidance as it represents (as far as we know at MF) the first time a significant amount of funding has been made available specifically for career guidance.

Each deanery has tackled the challenge very differently. Some have appointed an associate dean for career advice. Others have used the funding to set up training for career guidance. Yet others have employed external career consultants.

Each of the websites below are well worth visting as they are very comprehensive. Even if you do not plan to work in that region - some of the websites deal with information about careers better than others. The bold items are deaneries who have accessed one or more services from Medical Forum.
