What the Career Review workshop covers

The workshop is training and a forum for anyone on, thinking of joining or having completed a Career Review. It is also a "stand alone" workshop on ways to enhance career planning.

The distance learning Career Review starts with a 34 page workbook. However some people prefer a more personal touch to commencing career exploration - where they meet us or others wanting to reinvent or reevaluate their careers before tackling the workbook. Others need the encouragement to finish the workbook (especially any challenging parts).

The aim is to provide a relaxed and easygoing catalyst for finding any beliefs or barriers holding you back from completing the workbook or from finding fulfillment in your career. We facilitate this by covering some career related topics in a structured but interactive format.

Everyone has a few minutes (only if they wish) to summarise their own current career situation. We find that this helps everyone to realise the sheer variety of reasons people need some support on career planning. Trainees, SASs, consultants, GPs and occasionally non medics attending so the sudden realisation that career challenges can face ANYONE - is very reassuring.
