Personal Career Programme Topics

Each PCP takes a similar format but depending on your particular career need, your PCP can have an "emphasis". PCPs are  conducted face to face wherever possible  but there is a "remote" option too (Skype conferencing)

Career development and planning (trainees)
Career evaluation programme (consultants,GPs/GDPs, senior professionals)
Career change ahead
Work-life balance (also ideal for pre-retirement career planning)
Pre/peri/post appraisal booster
Burnout/boredom eliminator
Career crisis/crossroads management
Portfolio career forging (or adding new strings to a current career bow)
Return to work preparation (after any time out)Interview/CV/self marketing
Exam/study success strategy

To work out which of these programmes is right we first complete a Career Review with you.

By the end of that it is very clear which programme would make the most impact on your career - so you don't have to decide now.

You join a PCP after a Career Review is completed.

Why a Career Review first

Many people ask if they can jump straight to the Personal Career Programme. The answer is no. This is because prior to attending the face to face PCP it is vital that both you and we have done some structured preparation.

If this is not done - the first half or more of the PCP is taken up on basic information gathering

The Review ensures that we both come to that meeting with agreed and shared viewpoints on your career, a clear agenda and some good ideas of where to start. It ensures that we hit the ground running at that meeting and make the best use of our time together - ie action planning.

Also - for some people - the Review is enough on its own.
